The Tokeneke Classic is a bicycle race organized by and for racers, looping around the Berkhamsted reservoir in central Connecticut. The area was chosen because of the challenging terrain and spectacular beauty of the race course. We think it is one of the best courses in the Northeast, and we’ve raced a few of them. The course consists of multiple loops around a hilly 22-mile circuit with about 2000 feet of climbing per lap. Races will be 2-3 laps depending upon the field.

Here are some of the changes we have made for an even better race this year:

• Participation in the MCRA masters race series

• Adding three additional fields: Masters 55+, Men 4/5, and Juniors

• Extending the Master’s 35+ to 3 laps (let us know if you have a strong view on this)

• Respond to your comments (see survey results above) with improvements such as additional bathrooms, better feed zone.
